September Fine Art Auction Review

One of the highlights of our September Fine Art sale was an early German tin plate clockwork car. Please see our sale review for details of other notable lots.

About Charles Ross Fine Art Auctioneers

We hold monthly sales of fine art and antiques as well as Victorian and later furniture in the Old Town Hall Saleroom which is situated in the heart of the historic market town of Woburn. The town is located close to Junction 13 of the M1 and is no more than an hour from central London.

Regular valuation days are held in the Old Town Hall, details of which can be found on the calendar page. In addition we conduct valuation days in venues and the offices of professional bodies in and around the region the details of which will be periodically listed on the website.

Proprietor, Jasper Marsh, has spent many years working in provincial auction rooms in the Midlands before joining Charles Ross at the start of 2008. He has a wide ranging, general knowledge of fine art and antiques developed from his first days as a porter, increasing his experience to become an auctioneer, conducting his first sale in 1994.

As well as conducting charity auction for varied good causes he has been involved in several country house sales in addition to classic motorcycle and property auctions.

He currently lives in Warwickshire with his fiancée and their Staffordshire bull terrier. They are planning to move to the Woburn area early in 2010.

Although large shoes to fill, Jasper is proud to have the opportunity to continue the reputation and success of the Woburn Saleroom that Charles Ross established.
